Framed Print of Surrender of Lord Cornwallis, 1781
Entitled: "Surrender of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown, Virginia, October, 1781." Charles Cornwallis, 1st Marquess Cornwallis (December 31, 1738 - October 5, 1805) was an English Army officer and colonial administrator. He is best remembered as one of the leading English generals in the American War of Independence. His surrender at the Siege of Yorktown ended hostilities in North America. George Washington (February 22, 1732 - December 14, 1799) led the American victory over Great Britain in the American Revolutionary War as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army from 1775-83, and presided over the drafting of the Constitution in 1787. Washington became the first president by unanimous choice, and oversaw the creation of a strong, well-financed national government that maintained neutrality in the wars raging in Europe, suppressed rebellion and won acceptance among Americans of all types. His leadership style established many forms and rituals of government that have been used since, such as using a cabinet system and delivering an inaugural address. He died in1799, at the age of 67. He is consistently ranked among the top three presidents of the United States, according to polls of both scholars and the general public. © Researchers / Science Source

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
