Framed Print of F. Scott Fitzgerald, American Author
Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald (September 24, 1896 - December 21, 1940) was an American author of novels and short stories. His first novel, This Side of Paradise, was published in 1920 and became an instant success. Like most professional authors at the time, he supplemented his income by writing short stories for such magazines as The Saturday Evening Post, Collier's Weekly, and Esquire, and sold his stories and novels to Hollywood studios. Although his passion lay in writing novels, only his first novel sold well enough to support the opulent lifestyle that he and Zelda adopted as New York celebrities. He began working on his fourth novel during the late 1920s but was sidetracked by financial difficulties that necessitated his writing commercial short stories, and by the schizophrenia that struck Zelda in 1930. In 1937, Fitzgerald moved to Hollywood, working on commercial short stories, scripts for MGM, and his fifth and final novel, The Love of the Last Tycoon. He had been an alcoholic since his college days leaving him in poor health by the late 1930s. He died of a heart attack in 1940 at the age of 44. © New York Public Library / Science Source

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
