Framed Print of Anna Harrison, First Lady
Anna Tuthill Symmes Harrison (July 25, 1775 - February 25, 1864) was the wife of President William Harrison and grandmother of President Benjamin Harrison. She was First Lady for one month in 1841. in the spring of 1795, she met Lieutenant Harrison, in town on military business. He was stationed at nearby Fort Washington. Her father disapproved of Harrison, largely because he wanted to spare his daughter the hardships of army camp life. The courtship flourished behind his back. They married on November 22, 1795. They had a happy marriage despite the succession of tragedies in the untimely deaths of five of their grown children. Her husband, died only one month after being in office, and before she ever made it to the White House. Following William's death she lived with her son John Scott, and helped raise his children. In June 1841, President Tyler signed into law the first pension for a president's widow, a grant of $25, 000. She in 1864, at the age of 88. © New York Public Library / Science Source

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
